Douglas, the largest town and capital of the Isle of Man, 
has a fascinating history and has grown up around the scenic backdrop of its bay. Its size and central position half way down the island’s east coast makes it an ideal hub for discovering the island using reliable public and heritage transport.
The guided walks and tours here are suggestions for exploring Douglas itself, as well as further afield using buses, trams and trains – starting and finishing in Douglas. They can be adusted according to your preference and time available – and desired mileage on foot! Other island towns can also be explored on foot – but always using public transport from Douglas to get there.
